Trek Outline
We began our 200km trek at Barabise, 50km north-west of Kathmandu and walked up the Sun Khose and Bhote Khose valleys. We crossed the Tisang La pass and climbed the Rolwaling valley via Simigoan. From Na, the highest village in the Rolwaling, we camped near the Yalung La and made successful attempts on Yalung Ri and Ramdung Peak (5925m).
We then climbed to the valley head and over the notorious Tesi Labsta Pass. From the pass, we climbed the highest peak of the trek, Parchamo (~6225m) and then walked down into the Khumbu (Everest) valley.
After a short stay in Namche Bazaar, we continued down the Khumbu, then climbed west to the little-vistied Lumding valley. From here we made an attempt at Kwangde Nup, finding the scenery greatly changed since the maps and guides were written.
Finally we descended from Lumding via the Moro La pass, and flew back to Kathmandu from the tiny airstrip at Lukla.
