Welcome to my mini-site detailing the trials and tribulations of my 6-month project to convert a 50-foot narrowboat from an old wreck into a luxury home.
I've learned a lot, spent even more, been through all manner of frustrations and successes and finally arrived with a finished boat I think I can be proud of, and a home which I have built all myself to my own design and which lets me live almost for free.
I hope this account will be interesting, useful and perhaps funny. If you are a boat owner there is lots of information, ideas, tips, and mistakes to avoid.
